Mountain stories straight from the trail
The meeting "Straight from the Trail" began with a discussion panel with the participation of true mountain hiking enthusiasts and experts such as: Piotr Drożdż – editor-in-chief of the GÓRY magazine, Gosia Jachacz-Łopata – physiotherapist and mountain hiking enthusiast, Robert Nowakowski – climbing instructor and rescuer, as well as Ryszard Pawłowski – mountaineer, five-time conqueror of Mount Everest. The experts shared with the audience their own experiences, as well as successes in the field of mountain hiking and climbing. The guests of the panel discussion had the opportunity to hear first-hand about why mountain expeditions are considered synonymous with meditation, how a shared passion brings people together and creates true friendships, as well as how mountain adventures develop and become a family hobby.

The second discussion panel was a meeting with representatives of Salomon and Jack Wolfskin, brands that, along with adidas Terrex, have been associated with outdoor for years. The footwear of these brands has long since gained cult status and today many enthusiasts of mountain activities are not able to imagine any expedition without them. Talks with experts, Marcin Bujgaski from Salomon and Adam Balion from Jack Wolfskin, conducted by Piotr Mika, a representative of the eobuwie.pl and MODIVO multibrands, concerned how to prepare for a new passion related to the mountains. And the preparations, in this case, should always start with the right footwear. Topics such as what is the difference between trekking and hikig, what should be paid attention to when choosing outdoor shoes and what are the characteristics of the technologies used by individual brands were discussed.
Pack up your bag: How to prepare for a trip to the mountains?
The next part of the "Straight from the Trail" meeting was a backpack packing workshop led by Robert Nowakowski. Robert, who has many years of experience in mountain hiking and climbing, and is also a lifeguard, shared his years of knowledge about the essentials in mountain backpacks. Guests had the opportunity to hear about how to best organise their equipment and how to pack a backpack so as not to miss anything. Based on his own adventures, Robert talked about what things are necessary and which we would never think of, as well as what is not worth taking.
In the footsteps of wolf paws - tales of wolves
The event ended with a lecture "In the footsteps of wolf paws - stories about wolves" conducted by Michał Figura – naturalist, member of the "Wolf" Association for Nature, PhD student at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of the University of Warsaw, dealing with the observation of large carnivores, as well as nature education; Author of scientific articles and expert opinions in the field of theriology and ornithology. Michał, as a true enthusiast of wolf observation, brought closer the fate of these animals, debunked several myths related to them and thus erased the misconception that we often have about these unique creatures.
