Secrets of the Scandinavian style
It is impossible to start a discussion about Scandinavian fashion without first breaking it down. The experts invited by MODIVO and eobuwie.pl gave it a try: the head of the fashion department of the Zwierciadło magazine, Gabriela Czerkiewicz, the journalist and blogger Harel, as well as a journalist and author of books on vintage, Ola Zawadzka.
The panelists revealed the secrets of Scandinavian style. The most important topic of conversation was what makes the northern aesthetic so distinctive that the whole world turned its eyes to the Nordic countries. The journalists shared with the audience their observations, as well as their knowledge about the differences between the Scandinavian style and the Italian or French style, what are the latest trends straight from the Danish ones, Swedish or Norwegian streets, as well as the values of Scandinavian brands. The philosophy and novelties from the offer of Scandinavian brands were discussed using the examples of brands available at MODIVO: ROTATE, Samsøe Samsøe, Herskind, Rains, GESTUZ, Custommade, Kaffe and Bruuns Bazaar.
Trends straight from Copenhagen Fashion Week
According to opinion-forming fashion magazines from around the world, Copenhagen Fashion Week has recently been the most popular among all of the fashion weeks. Every season, Copenhagen gathers the most important journalists and fashion influencers interested in Scandinavian fashion and regional brands. A panel on the phenomenon of the fashion week located in the capital of Denmark was moderated by the head of the fashion department of Twój Styl magazine, Karolina Tomaszewicz, and her speaker was the MODIVO ambassador and style icon, Kasia Sokołowska, and the owners of the Match agency with Scandinavian brands, Magdalena Witosz and Kateryna Gavrylets.
The experts, together with the audience, wondered what distinguishes Copenhagen from other fashion capitals, what are the characteristics of the shows held as part of the CPHFW and what is the atmosphere in Copenhagen during the most interesting and inspiring presentations of new collections of Scandinavian brands.
Sustainable Fashion
The last panel on sustainable fashion and sustainable development stirred the most emotions. The topic, which is very close to Scandinavian brands, as well as MODIVO and eobuwie.pl, has sparked numerous discussions. Among the speakers were Sustainbility Manager of VOGUE Poland, Zuza Krzątała, who hosted the whole event as well as the panel. Zosia Zochniak, founder of the Odzież do Oddania brand and leader of circular fashion, Head of Corporate PR at MODIVO S.A., Kalina Stawiarz and Advisor to the Management Board for marketing strategy at MODIVO, Ranita Sobańska.
The panelists tried to define the term "sustainable fashion" and what it means for the modern consumer. They also wondered how to approach shopping in a rational way and how to take care of the products we already have in our closet. They also discussed the new regulations of the European Union concerning the clothing industry and what are the most promising prospects related to the development of sustainable fashion for the coming years.
