MODIVO Expands the Marketplace to International Markets

MODIVO Group is strengthening its cross-border sales by expanding its marketplace platform to additional markets. The company has debuted in the Czech Republic, offering local customers a selection of products from trusted Polish stores. Polish users now also have access to new products and can purchase directly from Italian partners.

With the aim of increasing product and size availability, as well as expanding its range with new categories including home & decor and beauty, MODIVO is broadening its marketplace activities. The platform launched at the end of 2022 and has been available to customers in Italy since June last year, allowing them to order items from both Polish and local  brands. A new development between Italy and Poland. Our first Italian partner has already added several thousand offers, with the number steadily increasing.

"Entering the Italian market has allowed us to gain valuable experience as cross-border activities require coordination of efforts by many tech and business teams, as well as close cooperation with local partners. Based on this implementation, we developed solutions that enabled us to debut in another country," says Monika Wiorek, Marketplace Director at MODIVO Group.

Another market where MODIVO is conducting sales through its marketplace is the Czech Republic. The cross-border 3P model includes a partnership between Poland and the Czech Republic. Trusted partners who have already had the opportunity to cooperate with the Group on both the local and international level were invited to list their products. This means over 22,000 new offers for customers on modivo.cz. The Group is working on including additional stores.

“Choosing the Czech Republic as the next location with access to the marketplace was a natural decision for us. It's not only the territorial proximity, which positively influences the customer experience related to shipping, but also the cultural closeness. The Czech Republic is the first international market where we started online sales, and where we have also debuted a stationary concept. Over the years, we have been able to get to know our customers, their needs, and expectations well," adds Monika Wiorek.

In total, the MODIVO marketplace now boasts over 700,000 active offers across three European markets.
